FAQ's

WHAT DOES MY RATE INCLUDE?

Our all-inclusive hourly rates cover wages; leave provisions, payroll tax, occupational superannuation, Workers compensation and administration costs. Sound Personnel looks after all taxation issues and distributes PAYG payment summaries. Charges are made only for each hour or part thereof worked by the employee. There are no charges for meal breaks, sick leave or public holidays. Employees must be engaged for a minimum period of 4 hours in any given day.

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE WORKER?

All staff provided by Sound Personnel are employees of Sound Personnel and shall be paid by Sound Personnel. Engagement of an on-hire employee shall be deemed to be acceptance of our Terms and Conditions of Business. Time sheets signed by a representative of your company will be deemed to be confirmation of hours worked and shall be used to calculate the wages for our on-hire employees and charges for services rendered.
As a host employer, the on-hire employee shall be under your control and direction from the commencement of duties and for the duration of the assignment.

You are responsible for authorising payment of wages and approving the standard of work carried out on your behalf. Whilst the on-hire employee is under your control and direction, any and all acts, errors or omissions, whether wilful or negligent or otherwise, are your responsibility, as a compliance with all statutory requirements relating to their employment.

The host employer will exercise all due diligence in providing details of the nature of work that Sound Personnel employees will be required to undertake.

You will do all things reasonably practical to minimise the risk of injury and/or illness to all employees in accordance with the relevant OHS Acts, Regulation’s and codes of Practice as they apply.

The host employer will notify Sound Personnel as soon as practicable of incidents or accidents involving Sound Personnel employees.

The host employer will notify Sound Personnel prior to changing any tasks, including any plant, equipment or process involving any Sound Personnel employee.

The host employer will provide Sound Personnel employees with appropriate supervision whilst they are on the worksite.

I WANT TO EMPLOY MY TEMP STAFF MEMBER?

Should a Sound Personnel on-hire worker enter into any employment like relationship (such as permanent or contract employment, consultancy, sub-contractor, partnership or commission based) by you or any related person or Corporation on either a permanent or contract basis, an introduction fee will be due and payable.

Unless negotiated prior to placement, the fee will be 10% of the total gross annual package or anticipated income of the referred candidate. Should you require a Sound Personnel on-hire employee to commence any future assignment/s after completion of the current assignment, that on-hire employee will do so as a Sound Personnel employee. These conditions apply for a period of twelve months after the last assignment.
